[Aubrey] Plaza says her dream is to do a real middle-of-the-road romantic comedy, specifically one with Ryan Gosling, who once approached her in a juice bar to tell her he loves Parks and Recreation. “I’d work in a flower shop and be insecure. And he’d work in real estate—sorry, I’m pitching a movie to you.” She’s not sorry. She keeps pitching. “And there’s always cupcake batter on my face, and I’m like, ‘I just made these cupcakes, but I don’t know how I feel!’ And he’s like, ‘Let me get that cupcake batter off your face … with my dick.’” She’s cracking up. “Cut to me giving him a hand job. Sorry, I’ve had too much caffeine.” (x)

You want statistics to prove my dogs aren’t vicious?
There you go.

what kind of information is this graphic supposed to represent? i’m not seeing any explanation or clear assumption to make other than there are numbers next to dog breeds.

Most American shelters use a somewhat standardized test to temperament test dogs, including but not limited to, noting the dogs reaction to having their tail/paws grabbed, how they are around other dogs/cats/small animals, how they are around children, etc. 93.2% of Staffordshire Bull Terriers that were tested passed this test without barking, growling, biting, etc, while only 66.7% of Daschunds did.
That’s what it represents.

that makes sense. i’d suggest labeling the graphic, though, because if i didn’t get it probably other people won’t, either. and those are probably the people that are looking to target because they aren’t as informed about this stuff as you are.

I’m laying here in bed thinking….What happened to Lily’s parents? Why couldn’t Harry live with them? Did they die before Lily and James?
They’re never really mentioned..
Has anyone else thought of this? Does anyone know what happened to them?

JKR has stated that all of Harry’s grandparents (that is, both James’s and Lily’s parents) died before Lily and James did (and not in sinister ways). It’s not written in to the story how they died, because JKR stated that she kind of just needed them out of the way, but I think it does imply that they’re dead when McGonagall and Dumbledore are talking about how there must (and isn’t) anyone better to take Harry than the Dursleys. Harry has to be at the Dursleys because of his blood relation (and the magic in his blood protecting him) to Petunia. McGonagall is right, though, that the Dursleys are too normal and aren’t the best choice to raise Harry as a child, but Dumbledore basically tells us (later on, for the most part) they are the only choice to take care of Harry for his protection.
